Freed Hardeman

After escaping LCHS, I got my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work and went directly to work in the mental health field. Got married in 1991. Settled down in Jackson, TN. Had Jesse in '94 and went back to school that same year while also working full-time (insane, I know). Got a divorce (yay!) in '96 and finished my Master's degree in Counseling that December. Kept right on working in just about every area of mental health imaginable, eventually as a supervisor with my own team of therapists to boss around, er LEAD. In 2002, I decided I was not going to let my son grow up in Jackson with all its crime, so we moved to KY where we've been ever since. I wish we had come here much sooner. It's a great place to live.

I remember riding the band bus in about 8th grade, sitting with Chris Shoemake, who had a book about, um, things they didn't teach in high school back then (blushing). I learned a lot that day on the bus!
